Can I get more storage?
Currently, all members get 180 GB shared between Nextcloud and Immich, plus 20 GB for email (200 GB total). We're focused on sustainability and fairness, so we don't offer variable tiers yet. If you need more, let us know via Mattermost—the collective evolves based on member needs.
What makes Skylantix different from other hosting?
We're not a business—we're a collective growing toward 5,000 members. You can help shape our services. After admin wages, profits are split 50/50: reinvestment in an endowment to help prices stay low long term and support for the open-source community. Members vote on allocation. You'll know your sysadmin by name. This is community-owned infrastructure, not corporate extraction.
Where is my data hosted?
Infrastructure starts in Orange County, CA and expands to geographically distinct nodes within California as demand grows. Your data stays on hardware we own—not scattered across Amazon's datacenters. We use Cloudflare for security and DDoS protection, but your actual data lives on our RAID Z3 systems in California.
What support do I get?
Personal support via Mattermost or email. No ticket bureaucracy. You'll talk to a real human who actually manages the infrastructure. This is a digital village—your sysadmin knows your name.
What are the perks for early members?
The first 50 members total get special rewards when Skylantix reaches financial viability (1,250 members): if you chose annual, all fees waived as long as Skylantix operates, and if you chose monthly, 50% off as long as Skylantix operates.
